| Term | Definition |

| Phase | One of six workflow labels (understand, design, build, test, review, other) attributed to each turn of AI-assisted work. |
| Phase vector | The distribution of confidence across all six phases for one turn, alongside the dominant label. |
| Abstain | A turn whose classification confidence is below threshold. Labeled other, surfaced explicitly, never redistributed. |
| Basis | Whether a share is computed by tokens (volume) or by queries (turns). Every share states its basis. |
| Fresh tokens | Input and output tokens that are newly processed, as opposed to cache reads. The expensive component of spend. |
| Cache read / cache write | Re-use of provider-held context (cheap) and its creation (priced by retention window). Bill-y tracks the split exactly. |
| Blended rate | The fallback price applied to usage on models with no configured rate. The fraction priced this way is always disclosed. |
| Price table | The organization's own effective-dated model rates, from which every dollar figure is estimated at read time. |
| Forecast band | The uncertainty range around a month-end forecast. Budget status reads the band, not the point. |
| Forecast ladder | The disclosure of forecast method, from weekday-pattern projection down to declining to invent a number on thin history. |
| Engagement band | A person's distinct active days in the trailing 28: none, light, moderate, heavy. Days, not volume. |
| Redaction level | The fleet-wide policy determining what a record may contain, applied on-device before storage. Raise-only, never retroactive. |
| Suppression | The withholding of aggregates over groups smaller than a configured size, because small aggregates are individual data in disguise. |
| Restriction mode | The organization-wide setting for whether and how person-level visibility exists at all. |
| Scope | The part of the organization a reader's access resolves against, enforced on every request. |
| Governance report | The one-click report of live governance configuration, generated from the running system, used to support privacy reviews. |
| Security pack | The reviewer-facing bundle of deep technical documentation, available to evaluating teams on request. |
